The electricity is so erratic and unstable. Companies that sell home appliances must be laughing their way to the bank because the consumers need to replace their appliances so often. Not that they are selling sub-standard products but because of the regular power surge and if you do not own a regulator, good luck to you.
All my important equipment like my computer, printer and fridge, I will have these appliances going through a regulator and a UPS. As for this iron, my maid is using it behind as and when required.
With a blink of an eye. the iron breathed its last!
